Strengthening of Cultural Relations Between Vietnam and Venezuela

On May 26, the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela and the National Experimental Polytechnic University of the Armed Forces (UNEFA) of the Latin American nation concluded a cooking class and a “non la” (Vietnamese conical hat) dance class with a celebratory ceremony. According to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), the event was held at the university and was a great success.
In his remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed his appreciation to the Venezuelan Ministry of Defence and UNEFA for organizing cooking and “non la” dance classes.
At the closing ceremony of the 133rd birthday celebration of President Ho Chi Minh, the ambassador presented the certificate and highlighted the importance of the course. He emphasized that the activity was an important part of the celebration series.
He congratulated the learners on completing the courses and expressed his hope that they will help introduce the typical dishes and the iconic “non la” dance of Vietnam to Venezuelan people, bringing more cultural understanding and appreciation between the two countries.

He asserted that the classes offered by UNEFA not only benefited the learners, but also the lecturers, in gaining a deeper understanding of the Vietnamese culture, thus promoting stronger friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.
The event was attended by more than 500 people, including representatives from the two governments, as well as members of the local community and international media.
Last month, the Vietnamese Embassy, the Venezuela-Vietnam Friendship House, and the Caracas administration joined forces to host an incredible cultural and sports exchange programme in Caracas to celebrate both the Independence Declaration Day of Venezuela and the Day of Solidarity with the People of Venezuela. The event was attended by over 500 people, including important representatives from the two governments, local community members, and international media outlets. Everyone got to experience a unique cultural exchange, with a variety of sports activities, lively music, and delicious food! It was truly an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
On May 13, the Hugo Chavez Park in Caracas hosted a special program that included a variety of cultural performances and sports events. The festivities continued throughout the day, providing plenty of entertainment for all in attendance. From traditional dances to competitive sporting activities, the day was filled with fun and excitement for everyone. Additionally, the event served as an opportunity to celebrate the local culture of Caracas and bring the community together.
