2023 Hanoi Fall Festival: Highlighting Unique Cultural and Touristic Values

The inaugural Hanoi Fall Festival, with the captivating theme “Come to Fall in Love in 2023,” is scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 1.

According to Deputy Director of Hanoi Promotion Agency Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, this is a unique opportunity to showcase the stunning beauty and rich cultural heritage of our city. Hanoi is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, historical landmarks, and esteemed heritage sites. We invite you to experience the allure and charm of our city firsthand.

According to her, Autumn is the most enchanting season in Hanoi, offering ideal opportunities for tourists to explore renowned landmarks and savor the exquisite culinary offerings of the ancient capital, which has a history of over 1,000 years.

Our website aims to highlight the exceptional traditional handicrafts and cultural heritage of the capital. To commemorate the enchanting season in Hanoi, the festival will feature a wide array of tourism offerings, exceptional handicrafts, and captivating souvenirs of the capital. This will be showcased through 150 meticulously curated booths along Dinh Tien Hoang Street and the pedestrian zone encircling Hoan Kiem Lake.

There will be a variety of parades and performances taking place in different districts and townships. These captivating events include the lion and dragon dances in Thanh Oai District, the Mid-Autumn Lantern Procession in Son Tay Town, the Dong Anh dragon performance, the flower art showcase in Me Linh District, the traditional puppetry show in Te Tieu, My Duc District, and the presentation of the art of processing and savoring West Lake lotus tea.

The festival’s main attraction is the exquisite reenactment of both traditional and contemporary Vietnamese wedding ceremonies. This captivating display takes place on the enchanting Dinh Tien Hoang Street and beautifully illustrates the evolution of wedding customs throughout history. Additionally, visitors will be entertained by an array of captivating dance performances, including folk and sports dances. A mesmerizing fashion show will also be held, showcasing the elegant ao dai, a traditional long dress.

Attendees at the festival can enjoy a variety of engaging activities, including parades, painting sessions, and exhibitions showcasing children’s artwork. Additionally, a lively procession featuring tourist rickshaws, bicycles, and double-decker buses will traverse Thanh Nien Street, Phan Dinh Phung Street, and Hoang Dieu Street. As part of the festivities, a captivating photo exhibition, titled “Colors of Hanoi Autumn” (Sac Thu Hanoi), will be hosted at the esteemed Center for Cultural and Artistic Activities located at 22 Hang Buom Street, as well as around the legendary statue of King Ly Thai To.
